Shatter is an extract. It is derived from cannabis and solvents. It’s appearance is usually translucent and the color of it is yellow or orange. It resembles “honey”.

The texture of it is hard, like a thin piece of glass. When handled, it can snap. Pieces of it can snap off which you can do with you fingers with a bit of pressure. It is also known as concentrate.

One of the reasons people consume shatter is that is can provide you with a more potent high that marijuana flower. The THC content can be as high as 80% where as cannabis flower is typically in the 10% to 25% percent range of THC. Occasionally shatter is produced with high levels of cbd but low levels of THC. This type of shatter is primarily used for medicinal purposes.
